Oxfordshire Badger Group was added to the Register of Charities just before Christmas.

Our Aims are:

to promote, for the public benefit, the conservation and protection of badgers, their setts and habitats in Oxfordshire and elsewhere; and
to advance the education of the public on the ecology, behaviour and protected status of badgers, their setts and habitats

Busy times ahead as we look to fundraise for the first full year of vaccination and adjust to our new charity status !

Seacourt covered....by water and by the press !

The work to build the Park and Ride Extension at Seacourt was flooded for over 3 weeks during November. The builders (and the Seacourt badgers) retreated to higher land. We take this opportunity to remind Oxford City Council that it was unwise to build on an active floodplain.

OBG Membership provides volunteers with public liability insurance while taking part in our activities.

It now costs £12.00 per household per year. Of this £2 is used to secure Groups' full membership of the Badger Trust.

WildCRU’s Badger Project has collected a wealth of fundamental ecological data for over 30 years. Visit their website for a fascinating insight into badger socio-ecology.

They made a great presentation at this year's Badger Trust Symposium. Grateful to Wytham for supporting OBG activities - it is a great resource rto have on our doorstep.
